Darkroom Lab

Cole Images uses Durst 1200 color and Durst 138s enlargers.
One 138 has an Aristo cold light and the other a color head.
We have a larger format contact sheet printer that will do up to 20X24 negatives.

We have several smaller Leitz and Rollei format enlargers, but keep them as a courtesy for those who do miniature format work.

A Saltzman 10X10 inch enlarger with an Aristo variable contrast cold light is our workhorse. We have an 8X4 foot vacuum easel, and a smaller more employed 44 inch vacuun board.

Our lenses are Rodenstock APO and Schneider APO Compon S plus some exotic optics.

Large K & E light table with PYRO 11X14" negatives

The heart of our darkrom is our 10X10 inch Saltzman with a forty inch and an eight foot by four foot vaccum easels, employing the Variable contrast Aristo cold light head. It has aerial roll film carriers as well as the fixed negative carrier.

A large six by four foot K&E light table makes film and transparensy viewing a joy.

The spacious film loading table for the large format negative holders with anti-static generators make film handling easy.

Reverse osmosis filtration assure safe and clean water. We have water heaters and chillers (needed in the South).

Arkay two and three and one half gallon stainless tanks are used for film processing. Traditional stainless washers are employed for sheet film.
